Alive Online has grown into a boutique web design and marketing company. From its humble beginnings in April 1996 from the home of Barnaby De Palma, the growth of Alive Online has been driven by Barnaby’s passion.

Alive Online has successfully established itself as a trusted company for web hosting now offering full services in modular web design; web hosting, domain name hosting and eCommerce.

In addition to web design & hosting Alive Online offers a range of marketing services and has recently moved into the area of social marketing.

A few years back early innovator Barnaby saw the potential in web 2.0 and has been driving Alive Online in this direction. Alive Online prides itself on their ongoing commitment to educating businesses on internet marketing through seminars, workshops and teleconferences.

Acceptable Use Policy

Alive Hosting’s services may be used for lawful purposes only. Unacceptable practices include but are not limited to: drug dealing; attempting without authorisation to access a computer system; pirating, violating copyright law, gambling; schemes to defraud; obscene material; sending a message or having content that is obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, or indecent with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass another person; threatening bodily harm or damage to individuals or groups; violating International Export restrictions; stalking; or violating other state or federal law.

Alive Hosting reserves the right to check system files, email, and other data on our servers for illegal content and materials, or for any other reasons deemed necessary.

Legal rights of others
Unacceptable activities in this regard include posting private information about a person without their consent, infringing intellectual property rights, defaming a person or business, and knowingly making available code which will have a deleterious effect on third party computers. Alive Hosting supports free speech on the Internet, and will not suspend or cancel a customer’s account simply because it disagrees with the views expressed by the customer. Where there are allegations that a customer’s on-line activity has violated the legal rights of a third party, Alive Hosting will not substitute itself for a court of law in deciding tort claims raised by the third party.

Server Resources
Running programs in the background on a Alive Hosting’s server without prior written authorization, or running chat rooms, Internet Relay Chat, IRC bots, sending more then 1000 emails a day and the like are not acceptable uses of Alive Hosting’s servers. Further, any usage of fifteen percent (15%) or more of our system resources is an undue burden on our system and is unacceptable. If your usage ever exceeds fifteen percent (15%) of system resources, your account may be terminated immediately and without prior notice. In addition any domain that exceeds ten gigabytes of bandwidth traffic can be terminated without prior notice. Usage of scripts or other utilities to direct pointed domain names to subdirectories is not permitted and is grounds for termination of the account.

Hacking/Cracking

Alive Hosting provides web hosting services internationally and has a responsibility to ensure security and provide the highest quality of web hosting available. The following information and guidelines was designed to ensure the safety and security of our entire hosting network, servers and clientele.

Content
All services provided by Alive Hosting may be used for lawful purposes only.

Transmission, storage or presentation of any information, data or material in violation of any Federal Law, or International Law is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, material we judge to be threatening or obscene or material protected by trade secret, copyrighted material or other statute. The client agrees to indemnify and hold Alive Hosting harmless from any claims resulting from the use of the service that damages the client or any other party.

Commercial Advertising – E-mail
Spamming, or the sending of unsolicited e-mail, from a Alive Hosting server or using an e-mail address or domain that is maintained on a Alive Hosting machine as reference is STRICTLY prohibited. Alive Hosting will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision.

IRC
IRC or IRC bots may not be operated on our servers at this time.

Server Abuse
Any attempt to undermine or cause harm to a server or customer of Alive Hosting is strictly prohibited.

Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or suspend service at our sole discretion.

All Sub-Networks, distributive hosting sites and dedicated servers of Alive Hosting must adhere to the above policies.

Failure to follow any term or conditions will be grounds for immediate account deactivation without refund.
